Knowing God

Are you looking for something better?

Maybe you came to our site looking for answers to life’s problems. Or there is an emptiness inside that you have tried so hard to fill with work, family, food, loveless relationships, friends, sports, hobbies, drugs or alcohol.

But no matter what you use as a distraction, that feeling of longing for something greater just can’t be satisfied. The single most important decision you can ever make in this life is to follow Jesus Christ and make Him your Lord and Savior. Here’s how:

1. Realize that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

“There is none righteous, no, not one” Romans 3:10

2. Understand that there is a penalty for sin, and that penalty is death.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18

That’s great news or the gospel! For our sins we earned death, but Jesus Christ paid that penalty for you and I. Salvation can’t not be earned, rather it is a gift from God to be accepted.

3. Repent
Now the choice is yours. Knowing that Jesus took on your sins so you would not have to pay the penalty (death) and because of His sacrifice, you can recieve a gift from God the Father of Eternal life, all you have to do is Repent. That means to admit your way was not God’s way and agree to live by God’s plan for your life.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2: 8-9). True repentance is a willingness to turn away from what is wrong and turn to Jesus as your Lord.

“”That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” -Romans 10:9-10

Just confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved!

“”For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” There are no religious formulas or rituals — Call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved”!-Romans 10:13

4. Let’s Pray

Father, I know that I am a sinner, and I need a savior. My sins have separated me from you, and that’s why I feel empty inside. I am truly sorry for my sins, and I ask you to forgive me, and cleanse me from all my unrighteousnes. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that he came to earth and gave himself on the cross for my sins, and he was raised from the dead so that I can receive the gift of eternal life. My sins are forgiven, my life made clean, I am new creature in Christ, and my home will be with you forever, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
